"on drugs equals eggs"

it. was. a. hot. one. literally. like, the studio was scorching. michael j. fann was doing his best to keep us all cool. but you know, sometimes it's hard when there are so many hot people in a small, confined area.
ryan and tom from empires (yeah, that empires.) joined us for the first hour. tom got deep about their new record, ryan remembered his good ol' talk show days.
last we all knew, they were still pushing to be the first unsigned band to grace the cover of rolling stone. keep your peepers open for the results from the second round of voting to see if they made it through!
check them out next month at beat kitchen as well
hour two: ryan powers (comeback special!), mason's case (third comeback special!), and model stranger (SLY debut!) destroyed. in a good way. and not literally. we got creepy with our questions and sweated together. model stranger also mentioned their signing they were going to have at tower records.
but for real, they played a show last night at beat kitchen. it was definitely something special.

the beautiful music we played:
Cobalt & the Hired Guns - Of Summer
Stay Golden - Make Believe
The Shams Band - Working Man
Empires - Voodooized
Empires - Hello Lover
Empires - Bang
The Heyday - Good Old Days
Mark Rose - Everything
Ryan Powers - Be My Baby
Model Stranger - Dreams and Bones
Mason's Case - Knots
The Format - She Doesn't Get It

after those three stupendious bands played, Mark Rose, Lucas Carpenter and Prom Band played a very delightful show.
Mark played this sweet, awesome song. i've never heard it before! (sarcasm)

plan of attack for tonight: ha ha tonka at jbtv tonight
